Angie received her Master degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is also a honor graduate of the TCSOL Certificate Program at TC.
Angie has taught both ESL/EFL and Chinese as a Second Language (CSL) in the US and abroad to students with different proficiency levels for five years. Her research interests include second language assessment, classroom discourse, second language acquisition, multilingualism and pedagogy. To her, the joy of teaching languages lies in the simple pleasure of witnessing her students' attainment of broader and broader vistas of linguistic proficiency and in experiencing the communal bond that she has been instrumental in creating in classrooms.
In her free time, she loves playing the piano and going to the concerts. She also enjoys exploring various museums in NYC, trying new food, riding roller coasters and flying helicopters.
